Mission Statement

The Faculty of Arts & Education is committed to quality Christian education in the Seventh-day Adventist tradition. This tradition aims at developing his human potential thus bringing him into harmony with the Creator. In the context of liberal arts, and education, the Faculty of Arts & Education offers liberal arts, professional, and technical programmes to prepare students to become responsible and contributing members of society.

Objectives

The following are the objectives intended to be achieved when a student joins the Faculty of Arts & Education:
• To provide professional preparation required for undergraduate and graduate studies.
• To expose students to various effective teaching methods that will empower them in their teaching profession.
• To familiarize students with various African and international issues that will equip them to serve as professionals in an increasingly closer global world.
• To introduce students to basic and advanced administrative procedures and research methods that prepares undergraduate and graduate students for productive teaching and learning.
• To conscientise students about the power of language – verbal and non-verbal communication.
• To train students to have a balanced practical and theoretical framework in peace and conflict.
• To enable to explain the essence of their heritage, and the way this heritage indicates past and present alterations and adaptations.
