My favourite healthy snack or drink
Ingredients
- 1cup boiled sugar beans
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup plain flour
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- ½ cup cooking oil
Method
- Preheat the oil in a medium size frying pan
- Mash the beans with a masher until they become a sticky paste.
- Add the egg, salt all the spices and mix well.
- Add the flour to the mixture until it becomes a dough
- Roll it out on a clean flat surface with a rolling pin to make a square and cut it up into cubes
- Fry the cubes in the oil until they become golden brown
Serving Size
This bean crumble can be eaten as a side dish or you can add it to your favourite gravy or soup.
